Delaurier leads Kitchener over Brantford, 7-4

Jordan Delaurier had one goal and three assists to lead the Kitchener Dutchmen to a 7-4 victory over the Brantford 99ers.

Delaurier got on the board by slotting home a goal 9:17 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Keegan Alvestad assisted on the tally. Gus Ford dished an assist on Austin (APJ) Sloot's goal that made the score 1-1 at 3:14 into the first period.

Kitchener forced Brantford's goalies to work between the pipes, firing 50 shots and forcing 43 saves. Mathieu Kingsley made 27 stops and Jack Moylan made 16. The Dutchmen stifled the 99ers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kitchener surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Dutchmen average 4.3 goals per contest.

Kitchener additionally got points from Kyle Ellis, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Kitchener also had goals scored by Adam Kawalec, who had two and Philip Moser, Alex Demrovsky, and Nathan Grossi, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Kitchener were Mitchell Smith, who had four and Harrison Domagala, Ben St Marseille, Austin Gaboury, Nic Hague, Keegan Calder, and Nick Trecroce, who each chipped in one.

In addition, Brantford received assists from Guy Polillo, Ray Munro APJ, and Zander Pryor, who contributed one each.

Kitchener's starting goalie, David Lobsinger, made 14 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Jackson McIntosh, who stopped 10 shots. The Dutchmen totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. For Kitchener, Trecroce was ejected from the game. Brantford incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
