Bramwell lifts Caledonia over Fort Erie, 3-0

Behind a great game by Connor Bramwell, who had two goals, the Caledonia Corvairs defeated the Fort Erie Meteors, 3-0.

Bramwell's tallies came on the power play at 4:53 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia and 14:59 into the second to make the score 2-0 Caledonia.

Caledonia stifled Fort Erie's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Corvairs' offense rang up 54 shots on the Meteors' net. Caledonia struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

Caledonia also got points from Connor Patton, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Caledonia came via Riley Vanhorne, Jayme Forslund, and Mitch Purdie, who contributed one each.

Fort Erie's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. The Meteors had been averaging 28.0 minutes in penalties per game. Fort Erie was held below its usual level of production. The Meteors average 2.3 goals per game.

Marc Sinclair rejected 22 shots on goal for the Corvairs. Caledonia registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. For the Corvairs, Bramwell and Forslund were ejected from the contest. Liam Conway made 51 saves for Fort Erie on 54 shots. Team's Tristan Drescher and Josh Micallef were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
