Ross, Marlatt lead Lambton Shores over LaSalle, 6-3

Behind one goal and three assists from Sean Ross and two goals and two assists from Drew Marlatt, the Lambton Shores Predators downed the LaSalle Vipers 6-3.

Ross scored on the power play 7:34 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Lambton Shores had gained a power play chance when Brett Langlois was whistled for cross checking. Ryan Fraser picked up the assist. Marlatt scored the first of his two goals at 3:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Ross assisted on the tally. Marlatt's next tally made the score 6-3 Lambton Shores with one second1 seconds left in the third period. Ross picked up the assist.

The Predators kept LaSalle's goalie busy throughout the game, and Paolo Battisti made 34 saves on 40 shots. Lambton Shores bested its season scoring average. This season, the Predators average 3.2 goals per contest.

Lambton Shores additionally got points from Marlatt, who also racked up two goals and two assists and Ethan Sarfati, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lambton Shores included Brett Corrigan and Brenden Trottier, who each put in one. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Franco Sproviero, who had two and Adam Wammes, Vaughn Treppa, and Colin Burns, who contributed one each.

The Vipers forced Lambton Shores goalie Andrew Harriman-Duke to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

LaSalle was led by Brendan Harrogate, who had two goals. Harrogate scored the first of his two goals at 13:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Korey Morgan assisted on the tally. Harrogate's next tally made the score 2-1 LaSalle with 14:16 left in the second period. Morgan picked up the assist. Daniel Beaudoin also scored for LaSalle. More assists for LaSalle came via Chris Pignanelli, Manny Silverio, and Brett Primeau, who each chipped in one.

Harriman-Duke rejected 34 shots on goal for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Vipers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
