The Lambton Shores Predators tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the London Nationals held on for a 4-2 victory. London took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Lambton Shores storm back on a Colin Burns goal 16:13 into the third period to pull to two goals down. The Predators' power play was ineffective against the Nationals' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 11 chances. The Nationals kept Lambton Shores' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Harriman-Duke made 27 saves on 31 shots. London could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. The Nationals were helped by Austin Kemp, who registered one goal. Kemp scored 2:19 into the second period to make the score 3-1 London. Kyle L Robinson also scored for London. Other players who recorded assists for London were Derek Todosichuk, Andrew Kim, and Troy Taylor, who contributed one each. The Predators were often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game Lambton Shores had been spending in the box. The Predators put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow London to score on any of its eight power plays. Lambton Shores forced the Nationals goalie Justin Tugwell to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Predators were helped by Ethan Sarfati, who grabbed one goal. Sarfati scored 8:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Burns picked up the assist. Lambton Shores also got points from Burns, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Ryan Fraser, who had one and Brenden Trottier, who had two. London's Tugwell stopped 38 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Lambton Shores ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Wammes was ejected from the game.
