Austin Wright netted a hat trick to lead the Niagara Falls Canucks over the St. Catharines Falcons, 6-3. Wright got on the scoresheet 17:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:20 into the second and at 12:18 into the third.Niagara Falls' penalty kill excelled, as the Canucks gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Niagara Falls stifled St. Catharines' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canucks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Niagara Falls averages 3.5 goals per game. Niagara Falls also got points from Nigel Slade, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Zack Lansfield, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Sean Farquharson, who had two and Frank Pucci, Kevin Millejours, Colton Anstey, Trevor Simonick, and Matthew Marsden, who contributed one each. The Falcons stifled the Canucks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Catharines' offense rang up 37 shots on Niagara Falls' net.
