Gus Ford had two goals and two assists to lead the Brantford 99ers to a 6-3 victory over the Brampton Bombers. Ford's tallies came at 19:59 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Brantford and on the power play 2:42 into the third to make the score 5-2 Brantford.Brampton was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Brantford was able to score four times while on the power play. The Bombers were unable to stop the 99ers from sending pucks towards the net, and Brantford eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. The 99ers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Brantford averages 3.3 goals per game. Brantford also got points from Guy Polillo, who also registered two goals and one assist, Paris Briscoe, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Matthew Woods, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Brantford came via Zander Pryor, who had three and Nolan Ferris, Nathan Ferris, and Ryon Pereira, who contributed one each. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. The Bombers were helped by Jordan Crocker, who had one goal. Crocker scored on the power play 15:15 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Brampton had gotten the advantage when the 99ers' David Storey was sent off for high sticking. Christian Sgroi picked up the assist. Others who scored for Brampton included Robert Orlando and Brad Bollert, who scored one goal each. In addition, Brampton received assists from Nick Petropoulos, who had two and Noah Robinson and Sam Hisey, who each chipped in one. Mathieu Kingsley made 27 saves for Brantford on 30 shots. The 99ers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Jake Lawr recorded 31 saves for the Bombers. Brampton registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
