Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Pelham Panthers defeated the St. Catharines Falcons in a shootout 5-4 (3-2 SO). The shootout featured 18 attempts between both teams. St. Catharines got shootout goals from Brady Cranwell and Jake Evans. In addition to the clincher, Pelham got shootout goals from Brock Ackerman and Connor Schmalz.Riley O`Connell had two goals and two assists to lead the Panthers. O`Connell scored the first of his two goals at 5:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Ackerman picked up the assist. O`Connell's next tally made the score 4-3 Pelham with 12:26 left in the third period. Ackerman assisted on the tally. Pelham's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Panthers average 2.4 goals per contest. Pelham additionally got points from Anthony Sorrentino, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Schmalz, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Pelham were Dylan Pupo, who had one. The Falcons kept Pelham's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tynan Lauziere made 42 saves on 46 shots.
