Nikolas Dampier had a standout game with 29 saves, and the St. Thomas Stars beat the LaSalle Vipers 4-1.

St. Thomas was paced by John Warren, who had one goal. Warren scored 4:37 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Thomas. Zach Grzelewski assisted on the tally.

The Stars forced LaSalle goalie Eli Billing to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

St. Thomas also got points from Josh Slegers, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Grzelewski, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Austin Elkin also scored for St. Thomas. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Reed Horvat, who had two and Brett Van Dusen and Jordan Babb, who contributed one each.

The Vipers were led by Graham Pickard, who scored the team's only goal. Pickard scored on the power play 18:59 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Thomas. The Stars totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For St. Thomas, Blair Mincer and Van Dusen were ejected from the contest. Billing rejected 31 shots on goal for the Vipers. LaSalle incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
