Davis Boyer netted a hat trick to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires over the Lambton Shores Predators, 6-4. Boyer got on the scoresheet 1:27 into the second period. He then added goals at 6:49 into the second and at 17:06 into the third.Sarnia forced Lambton Shores goalie Andrew Harriman-Duke to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Sarnia also got points from Cody Trowell, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Sarnia included Ryan Vendramin and Kyler Keating, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Sarnia were Riley Babkirk, who had four and Brad Campbell, Sam McCormack, Brandon Layman, and Cameron Clarke, who contributed one each. The Predators' offense rang up 38 shots on the Legionnaires' net. Lambton Shores was led by Ethan Sarfati, who tallied two goals and one assist. Sarfati scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:53 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Sarnia. The Predators had taken the advantage when Sarnia's Jordan Fogarty got sent off for checking from behind. Ryan Fraser assisted on the tally. Sarfati's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Sarnia with 13:20 left in the third period. Colin Burns picked up the assist. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Fraser, who also had one goal and one assist. Sean Ross also scored for Lambton Shores. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Brenden Trottier, who had two and Calvin Hughson and Franco Sproviero, who each chipped in one. Hunter Johnson recorded 34 saves for the Legionnaires. Sarnia totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. For the Legionnaires, Fogarty was ejected from the game. Lambton Shores' Harriman-Duke stopped 32 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Predators incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
