Strathroy completes comeback, beats London, 3-2

The London Nationals could not hold down the Strathroy Rockets, and Rockets erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win.

Strathroy never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Rockets trailed 2-0 after a goal by London's Tanner Ferreira at 19:54 in the first period. Strathroy tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Jack Kilgour at 5:12 in the third period. The Rockets got the game winner at 14:19 in the third period on a goal by Kilgour.

Kilgour had two goals to lead Strathroy to victory.

Strathroy also got a goal from Nick Boyer as well. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Brett Dalton, Nick Griffin, Stuart King, and Dan Chapman, who contributed one each.

The Nationals' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Strathroy power plays. London forced the Rockets goalie Mat Ouellet to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Justin Murray also scored for London. More assists for London came via Derek Todosichuk, Mitchell Kreis, Trevor Dulong, and Drew Worrad, who each chipped in one.

Ouellet recorded 38 saves for Strathroy. The Rockets incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Justin Tugwell made 27 saves for the Nationals on 30 shots. London incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
