Behind a great game by Ryan Fraser, who had one goal and three assists, the Lambton Shores Predators defeated the St. Marys Lincolns, 7-0. Fraser beat Andrew Masters with a shot 5:24 into the first period on the power play to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Lambton Shores had gained a power play chance when Jake Alkins was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. Ethan Sarfati assisted on the tally. Fraser dished an assist on Franco Sproviero's goal that made the score 3-0 Lambton Shores at 19:18 into the first period. He then added assists on Sean Ross's goal at 10:19 into the second and on Sproviero's goal at 16:33 into the third.Andrew Harriman-Duke frustrated St. Marys' offense all game, and stopped 32 shots en route to a shutout. Harriman-Duke managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.85 prior to the game. The Predators forced the Lincolns' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, finishing with 53 shots and forcing 46 saves. Masters made 22 stops and Tyler Beattie made 24. Lambton Shores put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Marys to score on any of its 16 power plays. The Predators surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Lambton Shores averages 2.9 goals per contest. The defensemen of the Predators were also effective in the Lincolns' zone, and came away with three goals. Lambton Shores also got points from Sproviero, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, Sarfati, who also finished with two goals and one assist, and Ross, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Brenden Trottier as well. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Colin Burns, who had two and Adam Wammes, Brent Hammett, and Gino Mini, who contributed one each. St. Marys' offense rang up 32 shots on Lambton Shores' net. The Lincolns could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. The Predators incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 17 minors. Team's Trent Dundas and Chace Duckworth were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
