Kiselev leads Waterloo to shutout victory over Listowel

Evgeny Kiselev recorded a shutout against the Listowel Cyclones as the Waterloo Siskins picked up a 2-0 win.

Waterloo was led by Danny Hanlon, who tallied one goal. Hanlon scored on the power play 7:49 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Waterloo. The Siskins had gotten the advantage when Listowel's Keaton Willis was sent off for hooking. Eric Cimino picked up the assist.

Waterloo stifled the Cyclones' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Siskins did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Waterloo puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. The Siskins featured an improved defense during the game. Waterloo allows 2.9 goals per game.

Christian Mroczkowski also scored for Waterloo. In addition, Waterloo received assists from Gary Mantz and Brennan Blaszczak, who contributed one each.

Listowel was held below its usual level of production. The Cyclones average 2.6 goals per game. Listowel's offense rang up 31 shots on the Siskins' net.

Kiselev recorded 31 saves for Waterloo. The Siskins incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Cyclones' Tyler Fassl stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Listowel incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
