Jordan Chard finished with two points to lead the Cambridge Winter Hawks to a 7-2 victory over the Kitchener Dutchmen.

Cambridge surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Winter Hawks average 2.9 goals per contest.

Cambridge additionally got points from Mitch Atkins, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Liu, who also had one goal and one assist, and Ben St Marseille, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Cambridge also had goals scored by Tyler Mellish, Kalob Witzell, and Riley MacRae, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge were Matt Harding and Zack Hedley, who contributed one each and Maxime Lamontagne and Alex Bottigoni, who each chipped in two.

Kitchener was held below its usual level of production. The Dutchmen put an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. Kitchener forced Cambridge goalie Lucas Machalski to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

The Dutchmen were helped by Adam Kawalec, who racked up one goal. Kawalec scored on the power play 17:29 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kitchener. Harrison Domagala picked up the assist. Kitchener also got a goal from Jacob Cascagnette as well. In addition, Kitchener received assists from Kyle Ellis, Alex Demrovsky, and Jeremy Kuehn, who contributed one each.

Lucas Machalski made 29 saves for the Winter Hawks on 31 shots. Cambridge incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Winter Hawks, Hedley was ejected from the game. Kitchener's David Lobsinger stopped 23 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Dutchmen incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
