Stratford pulls away in second, rolls over Brantford, 6-0Gretzky Main Rink Sat, Nov 08, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Brantford 99ers was within striking distance after one period, but the Stratford Cullitons put the pedal down in the second en route to a 6-0 victory. Stratford pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 30 penalty minutes. The Cullitons were led by Jake Pleon, who tallied one goal and one assist. Stratford also got a goal from Joe Leahy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stratford were Matthieu Bourbeau, Jared Nash, Tyler Randerson, and Zach Van Louwe, who contributed one each. Brantford was held below its usual level of production. The 99ers average 3.5 goals per game. Stratford's Nicholas Caldwell stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Cullitons registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Moylan recorded 35 saves for Brantford. The 99ers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
