The Kitchener Dutchmen and the Listowel Cyclones were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Kitchener made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. The Dutchmen gained the winning advantage on a goal by Alex Demrovsky 2:33 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Demrovsky had a great game for Kitchener, netting two goals. Connor Cole also scored for Kitchener. Other players who recorded assists for Kitchener were Kyle Ellis, Keegan Calder, Jacob Cascagnette, Adam Kawalec, and Jeremy Kuehn, who each chipped in one. Listowel kept the Dutchmen's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jackson McIntosh made 32 saves on 34 shots. The Cyclones did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering just one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. Listowel was helped by Chayse Herrfort, who had one goal. Herrfort scored on the power play 15:16 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Cyclones had taken the advantage when Kitchener's Garrett Kirby(APJ) got sent off for holding. Blake Nichol picked up the assist. Listowel also got a goal from Blake Pickering as well. More assists for Listowel came via Ray McFalls, Eric Langridge, and Kevin Gergley, who contributed one each. The Dutchmen incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ryan Hergott made 23 saves for Listowel on 26 shots. The Cyclones registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
