Mroczkowski leads Waterloo over Brampton, 9-3

The Waterloo Siskins' Christian Mroczkowski had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 9-3 win over the Brampton Bombers.

Mroczkowski's tallies came at 13:24 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Waterloo and on the power play 17:24 into the second to make the score 9-1 Waterloo.

Waterloo forced Brampton's goaltenders to work between the pipes, launching 41 shots and forcing 32 saves. Shane Dietl made 19 stops and Jake Lawr made 13. The Siskins managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Waterloo finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Siskins bested their season scoring average. This season, Waterloo averages 4.3 goals per contest. The Siskins was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Waterloo additionally got points from Connor Bodnar, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Danny Hanlon, who also registered one goal and two assists. Waterloo also had goals scored by Anthony Guido, who had two and Eric Cimino, Michael Romund, and Kyle Betts, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Waterloo were Evan Kearns, Gary Mantz, Tommy Rietema, Brennan Blaszczak, and Matt Romund, who contributed one each and Matt Martin, Nick Hirst, and Chase Campbell, who each chipped in two.

Evgeny Kiselev rejected 18 shots on goal for Waterloo. The Bombers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
