The Thorold Blackhawks could not stop the St. Catharines Falcons' Cam Blakely, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-1 win. Blakely notched his first tally 15:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:29 into the second and at 13:31 into the third.St. Catharines forced Thorold's goaltenders to work between the pipes, totaling 44 shots and forcing 36 saves. Ian Shorthouse made 12 stops and Josh Astorino made 24. The Falcons stifled the Blackhawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Catharines outdid its season average for goals scored. The Falcons have scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign. St. Catharines also got points from Tyler Jackson, who also finished with one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, Jake Evans, who also tallied three goals and one assist, and Ryan Doucette, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Justin Felker, Josh Miller, and Paolo De Sousa, who each chipped in one and Tyler Morrison and Broderick Kelly, who contributed two each.
