Richardson's goals lift Chatham to 5-1 victory over Lambton Shores

Trevor Richardson was all over the ice for the Chatham Maroons, as he tallied two goals in Chatham's 5-1 win over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Richardson's tallies came at 7:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham and on the power play 14 seconds into the second to make the score 2-1 Chatham.

The Maroons pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 43 penalty minutes.

Chatham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lambton Shores to score on any of its six power plays. The Predators were unable to stop the Maroons from sending pucks towards the net, and Chatham eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Chatham additionally got points from Steven Beenackers, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Chatham also got a goal from Jared Dennis as well. In addition, Chatham received assists from Brayden Hopkins, John Bowen, and Brennan Feasey, who contributed one each and Nate Pietens and Michael Verboom, who each chipped in two.

Lambton Shores struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 25 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

The Predators were led by Ty Jackson, who scored the team's only goal. Jackson scored short handed 13:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Lambton Shores found itself down a man on Luke McEachnie's roughing. Brett Corrigan picked up the assist.

Bo Bessette rejected 21 shots on goal for the Maroons. Chatham ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alexander Morgan was ejected from the game. Andrew Harriman-Duke made 41 saves for the Predators on 46 shots. For Lambton Shores, Adam Wammes was ejected from the game.
