London downs Lambton Shores in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The London Nationals' Troy Taylor scored 1:55 into overtime to beat the Lambton Shores Predators, 5-4 (OT).

Lambton Shores could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. London made it 4-2 on a goal by Drew Worrad at 5:27 in the third period. The Predators pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Ryan Fraser at 6:13 in the third period.

Derek Todosichuk had two goals and two assists to lead the Nationals. Todosichuk scored the first of his two goals at 3:01 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Worrad assisted on the tally. Todosichuk's next tally made the score 2-2 with 6:17 left in the second period. London had gotten the advantage when Lambton Shores' Brett Corrigan was sent off for goalie interference. Worrad provided the assist.

London also got points from Taylor, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Worrad, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Mitchell Kreis also scored for London. More assists for London came via Justin Murray, Trevor Dulong, and Tanner Lafrance, who each chipped in one.

The Predators kept the Nationals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Tugwell made 36 saves on 40 shots.

Lambton Shores was helped by Colin Burns, who tallied two goals and one assist. Burns scored the first of his two goals at 10:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Franco Sproviero assisted on the tally. Burns' next tally made the score 2-1 Lambton Shores with 8:53 left in the second period. The Predators had taken the advantage when London's Anthony Kotsovos got sent off for cross checking. Ethan Sarfati picked up the assist. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Fraser, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Brenden Trottier, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Nick Sproviero, who had one.

The Nationals incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Andrew Harriman-Duke made 22 saves for Lambton Shores on 27 shots. The Predators incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
