Bo Bessette was superb between the pipes for the Chatham Maroons, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns. St. Marys' power play was ineffective against Chatham's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Maroons were led by Brayden Hopkins, who registered one goal. Hopkins scored 32 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham. Steven Beenackers assisted on the tally. Chatham stifled the Lincolns' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Maroons forced St. Marys goalie Andrew Masters to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Chatham also got points from Connor Annett, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Trevor Richardson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Chatham also got a goal from Brennan Feasey as well. More assists for Chatham came via Michael Verboom, who had three and Connor McKinnon and Steven Szekesy, who contributed one each. The Lincolns were often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. St. Marys had been averaging 16.0 minutes in penalties per game. Bessette recorded 29 saves for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Lincolns' Masters stopped 34 shots out of the 38 that he faced. St. Marys ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Evan Krassey was ejected from the game.
