Feasey's big game bests LaSalle in 8-3 Chatham winChatham Memorial Arena Sun, Oct 19, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Brennan Feasey was all over the ice for the Chatham Maroons, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Chatham's 8-3 win over the LaSalle Vipers. Feasey scored 4:18 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Chatham. Feasey dished an assist on Michael Verboom's goal that made the score 2-1 Chatham at 12:03 into the first period. He added another helper on Jared Dennis's goal that made the score 7-3 Chatham at 15:07 into the third period.The Maroons' penalty kill excelled, as Chatham gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 7:12 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Maroons forced LaSalle's goaltenders to work in net, racking up 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Paolo Battisti made 13 stops and Eli Billing made 16. Chatham outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Maroons average 4.5 goals per contest. Chatham also got points from Brayden Hopkins, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Steven Beenackers, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Chatham included Alexander Morgan and Michael Levesque, who scored one goal each. More assists for Chatham came via Levi Tetrault, who had two and Trevor Richardson, Nate Pietens, Carl Stapleton, Steven Szekesy, Connor Doran, Mark Fratarcangelli, and Ian Faubert, who contributed one each. The Vipers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Chatham power plays. LaSalle was helped by Connor Rosaasen, who had one goal. Rosaasen scored short handed 4:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Vipers found themselves down a man on Rio Anzolin's slashing. Daniel Beaudoin assisted on the tally. LaSalle additionally got points from Beaudoin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Eric Kirby also scored for LaSalle. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Korey Morgan, who had two and Manny Silverio and Kyler Carter, who each chipped in one. Bo Bessette made 21 saves for Chatham on 24 shots. The Maroons ended with 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors and two majors. Team's Dede Cato and John Bowen were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. LaSalle ended with 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors. For the Vipers, Nikko Sablone and Rosaasen were ejected from the contest.
