Peacock's hat trick boosts Caledonia over Ancaster, 6-1Morgan Firestone Sat, Oct 18, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Jordan Peacock lifted the Caledonia Corvairs to a 6-1 victory with a hat trick against the Ancaster Avalanche. Peacock notched his first tally 3:55 into the third period. He then added goals at 4:17 into the third and at 9:59 into the third.Ancaster's power play was ineffective against Caledonia's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Corvairs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Ancaster power plays. Caledonia kept the Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Calas made 43 saves on 49 shots. The Corvairs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game. Caledonia also got points from Connor Bramwell, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jake Brown also scored for Caledonia. More assists for Caledonia came via Connor Patton, Jayme Forslund, Cosimo Fontana, and Todd Ratchford, who contributed one each and Mitch Purdie and Austin McEneny, who each chipped in three. Ancaster struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 52 penalty minutes for 10 opposing power plays. The Avalanche were led by Hayden Guitard, who scored the team's only goal. Guitard scored 18:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ancaster. Donato Cipriano picked up the assist. Caledonia's Kevin Entmaa stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. For Ancaster, Blake Luscombe was ejected from the game.
