The St. Catharines Falcons gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Niagara Falls Canucks. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Nick Halagian secured the win for St. Catharines with a goal in the third period. The Falcons were led by Halagian, who finished with one goal. Halagian scored 9:45 into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Catharines. Nicholas Dozzi picked up the assist. In the losing effort, Niagara Falls was sparked by Austin Wright, who registered two goals. Wright scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mac Hollowell provided the assist. Wright's next tally on the power play made the score 2-1 Niagara Falls with 3:02 left in the second period. Matthew Mannella assisted on the tally. St. Catharines' offense rang up 42 shots on the Canucks' net. St. Catharines additionally got points from Cam Blakely, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Paolo De Sousa and Nicholas Prestia, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Justin Felker, Jacob Parisotto, and Tyler Morrison, who each chipped in one. Niagara Falls stifled the Falcons' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Catharines was unable to stop the Canucks from sending pucks towards the net, and Niagara Falls eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Zach Moore recorded 29 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Falcons, Jake Evans was ejected from the game. Dylan Pietrangelo made 38 saves for the Canucks on 41 shots. Niagara Falls incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Canucks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Taggart Ledyard was ejected from the game.
