The Guelph Hurricanes relied on the sparkling performance of Jeremie Lintner in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Listowel Cyclones. Guelph's penalty kill excelled, as the Hurricanes gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Guelph was sparked by Michael Courvosier, who registered one goal. Courvosier scored on the power play 10:18 into the third period to make the score 2-2. An interference penalty on Keaton Willis had put the Hurricanes on the power play. Brooker Muir provided the assist. Guelph stifled Listowel's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Gergley scored 5:35 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Ray McFalls picked up the assist. Lintner rejected 26 shots on goal for the Hurricanes. Guelph incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ryan Hergott recorded 26 saves for Listowel. The Cyclones incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
