Waterloo completes comeback, beats Brampton, 4-3

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Waterloo Siskins battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over the Brampton Bombers.

Waterloo never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Siskins fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by Brampton's Jordan Crocker at 11:32 in the first period. Waterloo tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Brennan Blaszczak at 15:52 in the first period. The Siskins netted the game winner at 6:15 in the third period on a goal by Blaszczak.

Danny Hanlon had two goals to lead Waterloo to victory.

Waterloo also got a goal from Evan Kearns as well. In addition, Waterloo received assists from Christian Mroczkowski, who had two and Matt Martin, Eric Cimino, and Matt Romund, who contributed one each.

The Bombers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Brampton also had goals scored by Cameron Cruickshank and Brad Bollert, who each put in one. More assists for Brampton came via Sam Hisey and Austin Kozluk, who each chipped in one and Lucas Goodman and Kevin Bray, who contributed two each.

The Siskins' Bailey DeGasperis stopped 14 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Waterloo incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jake Lawr took the loss and made 23 saves before being replaced by Shane Dietl who made zero saves. Brampton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
