The Kitchener Dutchmen beat the Brantford 99ers, 7-4. Brantford was unable to stop Kitchener from sending pucks towards the net, and the Dutchmen eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Kitchener's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Dutchmen average 4.2 goals per contest. Kitchener was led by Adam Kawalec, who registered one goal and two assists. Kawalec scored 5:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kitchener. Matt Scott picked up the assist. Kitchener also got points from John Nay, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mitchell Smith, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Austin Gaboury, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Brantford had gotten the advantage when the Dutchmen's Kyle Ellis was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Gus Ford assisted on the tally. Brantford additionally got points from Guy Polillo, who also had one goal and two assists and Cole Cummings, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Nathan Ferris also scored for Brantford. Kitchener took out David Lobsinger after he had made 12 saves and installed Jackson McIntosh in goal, where he finished with seven saves and the win. The Dutchmen incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For Kitchener, Ellis was ejected from the game. Jack Moylan rejected 30 shots on goal for the 99ers. Brantford incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
