Trowell's hat trick boosts Sarnia over LaSalle, 4-2

The LaSalle Vipers could not stop the Sarnia Legionnaires' Cody Trowell, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win.

Trowell got on the scoresheet 1:33 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:56 into the second and at 17:36 into the third.

Sarnia also got a goal from Jordan Fogarty as well. Other players who recorded assists for Sarnia were Cameron Clarke, who had two, Davis Boyer, who had three, and Riley Babkirk and Bobby King, who each chipped in one.

LaSalle's offense operated below its season average. The Vipers put an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. LaSalle forced Sarnia goalie Hunter Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

The Vipers were helped by Graham Pickard, who had one goal. Pickard scored 15:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Sarnia. Manny Silverio assisted on the tally. Brett Langlois also scored for LaSalle. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Kyler Carter, who had one.

Hunter Johnson made 30 saves for the Legionnaires on 32 shots. Sarnia incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Paolo Battisti recorded 25 saves for LaSalle. The Vipers incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
