London hangs on, beats St. Marys 2-1

The London Nationals took the lead against the St. Marys Lincolns in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-1 victory.

London took over the lead for good with a goal by Drew Worrad at 5:50 in the first period. Tanner Lafrance picked up the assist.

The Nationals were led by Justin Murray, who racked up one goal. Murray scored on the power play 8:09 into the first period to make the score 2-0 London. London had gained a power play chance when Mitch Read was whistled for hooking. Trevor Dulong assisted on the tally.

The Nationals kept St. Marys' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 35 saves on 37 shots.

More assists for London came via Tanner Ferreira, who had one.

The Lincolns were led by Rai Di Loreto, who scored the team's only goal. Di Loreto scored 35 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 London. Jake Alkins provided the assist.

Logan Ferrington made 15 saves for London on 16 shots. The Nationals incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. St. Marys incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
