Chatham boosted by Bessette's play in net, beats LaSalle 2-1Vollmer Recreation Complex Wed, Oct 08, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Chatham Maroons relied on the sparkling performance of Bo Bessette in net to grab a 2-1 win against the LaSalle Vipers. Chatham was led by Jared Dennis, who finished with one goal and one assist. Dennis scored 17:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Chatham. Steven Beenackers picked up the assist. The Maroons forced LaSalle goalie Eli Billing to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Chatham additionally got points from Brayden Hopkins, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. The Vipers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. LaSalle was held below its usual level of production. The Vipers average 4.4 goals per game.
