Nick Boyer racked up one point to lead the Strathroy Rockets to a 2-1 victory over the St. Thomas Stars.

Strathroy excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rockets forced St. Thomas goalie Nikolas Dampier to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Strathroy also got a goal from Mark MacAulay as well. More assists for Strathroy came via Tyler Duarte, Kurtis Sander, Eddie Schulz, and Sam Vokes, who each chipped in one.

The Stars were led by Anders Adzija, who scored the team's only goal. Adzija scored 7:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Thomas. Carson Moniz picked up the assist.

Mat Ouellet recorded 20 saves for Strathroy. The Rockets incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Thomas' Dampier stopped 40 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Stars incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
