Michael Verboom lifted the Chatham Maroons to a 6-0 victory with a hat trick against the St. Marys Lincolns. Verboom notched his first tally 12:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:35 into the first and at 10:13 into the second.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 10:39 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Chatham stifled St. Marys' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Maroons' offense rang up 46 shots on the Lincolns' net. Chatham additionally got points from Connor Annett, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Chatham also had goals scored by Trevor Richardson and Steven Beenackers, who each put in one. In addition, Chatham received assists from Jared Dennis, Carl Stapleton, and Dede Cato, who each chipped in one and Alexander Morgan and Brennan Feasey, who contributed three each. Bo Bessette recorded 19 saves for Chatham. The Maroons totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Chatham ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brayden Hopkins was ejected from the game. St. Marys' Andrew Masters stopped 40 shots out of the 46 that he faced. The Lincolns totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play. For St. Marys, Jordan Winter was ejected from the game.
