Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Brampton Bombers battled back to claim a 5-4 victory over the Brantford 99ers. Brampton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Bombers was down 4-2 after a goal by Brantford's Brett Parsons at 1:09 in the third period. Brampton tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Lucas Goodman at 12:09 in the third period. The Bombers netted the game winner on the power play at 14:39 in the third period on a goal by Goodman. Brampton's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Bombers average 2.7 goals per contest. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. The Bombers were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of nine man advantages. Brampton additionally got points from Sam Hisey, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brampton also had goals scored by Beau Goehram and Carmine Vietri, who scored one goal each. In addition, Brampton received assists from Kevin Bray, who had two and Cameron Cruickshank, Brandon Stapley, Austin Kozluk, Chris Ludwinski, and Jordan Crocker, who each chipped in one. The 99ers were led by Zander Pryor, who racked up two goals. Pryor scored the first of his two goals at 2:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brantford. Cole Cummings provided the assist. Pryor's next tally made the score 3-2 Brantford with 10:50 left in the second period. Mitch Atkins assisted on the tally. Brantford also got points from Atkins, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Brantford came via Trayvon Henry, Guy Polillo, Gus Ford, and Matthew Woods, who contributed one each. The Bombers' Lawr stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Mathieu Kingsley rejected 25 shots on goal for Brantford. The 99ers registered one goal on six power play opportunities. For Brantford, Dominick Horvath was ejected from the game.
