Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the St. Thomas Stars battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the London Nationals. St. Thomas never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Stars was down 2-0 after a goal by London's Derek Todosichuk at 2:05 in the second period. St. Thomas knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by John Warren at 11:43 in the second period. The Stars netted the game winner at 18:40 in the second period on a goal by Warren. Adam Truax had two goals to lead St. Thomas to victory. The Stars put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nationals to score on any of their five power plays. St. Thomas kept London's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Tugwell made 38 saves on 41 shots. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Carson Moniz, who had two and Carson Brookshaw and Jordan Babb, who each chipped in one. The Nationals forced the Stars goalie Nikolas Dampier to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots. Other players who recorded assists for London were Drew Worrad, who had two and Kyle L Robinson and Troy Taylor, who contributed one each. Nikolas Dampier made 53 saves for St. Thomas on 55 shots. The Stars incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. London incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
