Stratford blows out Brampton, 6-1

The Brampton Bombers had trouble finding ways to stop the Stratford Cullitons, which beat Bombers, 6-1.

Stratford was led by Deven Kropf, who tallied one goal. Kropf scored on the power play 16:55 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Stratford. The Cullitons earned a power play opportunity when Ethan Morrison was put in the box for tripping. Shane O Brien provided the assist.

Stratford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Brampton to score on any of its five power plays. The Bombers were unable to stop the Cullitons from sending pucks towards the net, and Stratford eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Stratford additionally got points from O Brien, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Tyson Baker, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Mitch Vandergunst, who also registered one goal and one assist. Stratford also had goals scored by Jake Pleon and Zach Van Louwe, who scored one goal each. More assists for Stratford came via Mitch Brooks, who had two and Carter Allen, Adam Gibb (APM), and Trevor Sauder, who each chipped in one.

Brampton was led by Anton Bura, who scored the team's only goal. Bura scored 10:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Stapley picked up the assist.

Nick Redman rejected 24 shots on goal for the Cullitons. Stratford incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Shane Dietl recorded 25 saves for the Bombers. Brampton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Bombers, Bura was ejected from the game.
