Fogarty's big game bests Lambton Shores in 7-4 Sarnia win

Behind a great game by Jordan Fogarty, who had two goals and two assists, the Sarnia Legionnaires defeated the Lambton Shores Predators, 7-4.

Fogarty scored at 2:43 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Sarnia and again while 4:46 into the third to make the score 5-2 Sarnia.

Sarnia's offense rang up 39 shots on Lambton Shores' net. The Legionnaires was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Sarnia additionally got points from Cody Trowell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Riley Babkirk, who also had one goal and two assists, and Cameron Clarke, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Sarnia included Brad Campbell and Ryan Trottier, who each put in one. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Tyler Longo, Nathan Mater, Davis Boyer, and Kyler Keating, who each chipped in one.

The Predators were helped by Sean Ross, who registered one goal. Ross scored on the power play 18:49 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Sarnia. A tripping penalty on Trowell had put Lambton Shores on the power play. Ryan Fraser provided the assist. Brenden Trottier also scored for Lambton Shores. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Ethan Sarfati, who had two and Calvin Hughson and Brett Corrigan, who contributed one each.

Cornel Felder recorded 14 saves for Sarnia. The Legionnaires incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Anthony Hurtubise rejected 32 shots on goal for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
