Sproveiro's goals lift Lambton Shores to 2-0 victory over London

Franco Sproveiro had two goals to lead the Lambton Shores Predators to a 2-0 victory over the London Nationals.

Sproveiro found the back of the net on the power play 14:03 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores and again while on the power play 15:29 into the third to make the score 2-0 Lambton Shores.

Lambton Shores was boosted by Anthony Hurtubise, who turned in a shutout with 33 saves. Hurtubise certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.5 entering the contest.

The Predators pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Lambton Shores' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six London power plays. The Predators' defensive play was more effective than usual against London. Lambton Shores gives up 2.5 goals on average per game. The Predators kept the Nationals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Logan Ferrington made 32 saves on 34 shots. Lambton Shores got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

More assists for Lambton Shores came via Ty Jackson, Vaughn Treppa, Brett Corrigan, and Ryan Fraser, who contributed one each.

The Predators were unable to stop London from sending pucks towards the net, and the Nationals eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. London could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lambton Shores registered two goals on 10 power play opportunities. Team's Anthony Kotsovos and Matt Bean were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
