Gary Mantz was all over the ice for the Waterloo Siskins, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Waterloo's 10-2 win over the Brantford 99ers. Mantz scored on the power play 19:42 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Waterloo. The Siskins had taken the advantage when Brantford's Cole Cummings got sent off for roughing after whistle. Jarrett Parker provided the assist. Mantz dished an assist on Parker's goal that made the score 3-0 Waterloo at 8:36 into the second period. He then added assists on Evan Kearns's goal at 5:51 into the third and on Kyle Betts's goal at 8:59 into the third.Waterloo's penalty kill excelled, as the Siskins gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Waterloo stifled the 99ers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brantford was unable to stop the Siskins from sending pucks towards the net, and Waterloo eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. The Siskins bested their season scoring average. This season, Waterloo averages 7.0 goals per contest. Waterloo additionally got points from Kearns, who also had one goal and two assists, Christian Mroczkowski, who also racked up two goals and two assists, Parker, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Betts, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Danny Hanlon, who also had three goals and one assist. Waterloo also got a goal from Brennan Blaszczak as well. More assists for Waterloo came via Chase Campbell, who had three and Matt Martin, Eric Cimino, Matt Romund, and Jordan Kreller, who each chipped in one. The 99ers were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes. Evgeny Kiselev rejected 24 shots on goal for the Siskins. Waterloo incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Jack Moylan made 30 saves for Brantford on 40 shots.
