Chris Janzen recorded a shutout against the Caledonia Corvairs as the Welland Jr. Canadians picked up a 3-0 win.

Welland was sparked by Thomas Flack, who registered one goal. Flack scored 11:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Welland. Josh Allan provided the assist.

The Jr. Canadians excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Welland also had goals scored by Matt Cuglietta and Jake Shaw, who scored one goal each. In addition, Welland received assists from Nathan MacDuff, Gabe Ruggi, and Cameron Aitken, who each chipped in one.

Welland was unable to stop Caledonia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Corvairs eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Chris Janzen made 36 saves for the Jr. Canadians on 36 shots. Welland incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Caledonia's starting goalie, Kevin Entmaa, made eight saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Brendan Polasek, who stopped seven shots. The Corvairs incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
