Jickling's hat trick boosts Liberty University over Colorado University of, 8-1

Carrie Jickling netted a hat trick to lead the Liberty University Flames over Colorado University of, 8-1.

Jickling's first goal came 5:05 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:00 into the second and at 11:05 into the third.

Colorado University of was unable to stop Liberty University from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flames eventually piled up 54 shots on goal. Liberty University found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Flames have scored at the pace of 5.8 goals per game during the current campaign. Liberty University was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances. The Flames got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Liberty University additionally got points from Stephanie St Amand, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Sarah Stevenson, who also had one goal and one assist. Marissa Graham also scored for Liberty University. In addition, Liberty University received assists from Catharine Burrell, who had three and Alexis Alexopoulos and Courtney Gilmour, who contributed one each.

Colorado University of racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. Colorado University of surpassed its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game.

Rosie Kelly recorded 20 saves for Liberty University. The Flames incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colorado University of's Sarah Mullen stopped 46 shots out of the 54 that he faced. Colorado University of registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
