Melbourne Ice gained the winning advantage on a goal by Christine Bestland 4:43 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Bestland had two goals to lead Melbourne Ice to victory. Melbourne Ice stifled Sydney Sirens' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Melbourne Ice put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 3.6 it averages per game. Alivia Del Basso also scored for Melbourne Ice. In addition, Melbourne Ice received assists from Nicole Tritter, who had one. The 27 shots that Sydney Sirens put on net surpassed Sydney Sirens' average of 3.1 shots per game this season. Sydney Sirens was helped by Krista Korhonen, who finished with one goal. Korhonen scored 11:16 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Sydney Sirens. Brittany McCabe provided the assist. Sydney Sirens also got a goal from Andrea Lim as well.
