Melbourne Ice completes comeback, beats Brisbane Goannas, 4-3

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Melbourne Ice battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over Brisbane Goannas.

Melbourne Ice never led in the game until netting the game winner. Melbourne Ice trailed 3-1 after a power play goal by Brisbane Goannas' Emma Gray at 13:27 in the second period. Melbourne Ice knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Olivia Dawson at 14:23 in the third period. Melbourne Ice netted the game winner at 16:28 in the third period on a goal by Dawson.

With three goals and two assists between them, Christine Bestland and Alivia Del Basso teamed up to power Melbourne Ice's offense. Bestland registered two goals and one assist and Del Basso also notched one goal and one assist.

Melbourne Ice's offense was clicking better than usual and put 22 shots on goal during the game, better than the 3.6 shots per game it averages.
