Nolan nets hat trick, leads Fresno Monsters to 11-0 win over Las Vegas Storm

Mike Nolan netted a hat trick to lead Fresno Monsters over Las Vegas Storm, 11-0.

Nolan notched his first tally 14:32 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:49 into the first and at 4:10 into the second.

Fresno Monsters pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 45 penalty minutes.

Fresno Monsters excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. Fresno Monsters' offense rang up 59 shots on Las Vegas Storm's net. Fresno Monsters' goal total was higher than its season average. Fresno Monsters averages 6.4 goals per game. The defensemen of Fresno Monsters were also effective in Las Vegas Storm's zone, and came away with two goals.

Fresno Monsters additionally got points from Evan Ingram, who also registered one goal and two assists, Kyle Jelinski, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Gianmarco Guidon, who also had one goal and three assists, and Conner Hyden, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Fresno Monsters also got a goal from Mitchell Dolman as well. In addition, Fresno Monsters received assists from Conner Osborne, who had two, Owen Sikich, who had three, Corey Munro, who had four, and Mark Shroyer, Daniel Goodwin, Nathan Churchill, and Austin Browning, who contributed one each.

Las Vegas Storm did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Las Vegas Storm averages 3.5 goals per game.

Nathan Churchill made 16 saves for Fresno Monsters on 16 shots. Fresno Monsters registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Las Vegas Storm's Jaedon McConnell stopped 48 shots out of the 59 that he faced. Las Vegas Storm ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
