Dallas Snipers uses early goal to top Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 2-0

Dallas Snipers beat Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 14:12 into the first period by Peter Kutlak proved to be the game winner, and powered Dallas Snipers to the victory. Alexander Kotzman picked up the assist.

Dallas Snipers pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Dallas Snipers was led by Kutlak, who finished with one goal.

Dallas Snipers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Tulsa Jr. Oilers power plays. Dallas Snipers could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Dallas Snipers averages 4.2 goals per game. Dallas Snipers kept Tulsa Jr. Oilers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Devyn Stowers made 39 saves on 41 shots.

Erik Svensson also scored for Dallas Snipers. In addition, Dallas Snipers received assists from Jesse Buchholz, Yevgeni Nikolaev, and Carl Sandsten, who each chipped in one.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers stifled Dallas Snipers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Tulsa Jr. Oilers was held below its usual level of production. Tulsa Jr. Oilers puts an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game.
