Idaho Junior Steelheads had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Butte Cobras.

Hunter Lester was all over the ice for Idaho Junior Steelheads, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Lester scored the first of his two goals at 14:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Idaho Junior Steelheads. Arturs Sevcenko assisted on the tally. Lester's next tally made the score 4-0 Idaho Junior Steelheads with 4:28 left in the second period. Nikita Zgirskis picked up the assist.

Idaho Junior Steelheads stifled Butte Cobras' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Butte Cobras was unable to stop Idaho Junior Steelheads from sending pucks towards the net, and Idaho Junior Steelheads eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Idaho Junior Steelheads also got points from Robert Neuwirth, who also registered one goal and one assist. Idaho Junior Steelheads also got a goal from Ondrej Valo as well. In addition, Idaho Junior Steelheads received assists from Kyle Kruenegel, who had two and Parker Lewis and Tyler Hough, who contributed one each.

Butte Cobras' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Idaho Junior Steelheads power plays.
