Znosko's big game bests Tulsa Jr. Oilers in 7-1 El Paso Rhinos win

Behind a great game by Lukas Znosko, who had two goals and one assist, El Paso Rhinos defeated Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 7-1.

Znosko's tallies came at 3:04 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 16:34 into the second to make the score 5-1 El Paso Rhinos.

El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tulsa Jr. Oilers power plays. Tulsa Jr. Oilers was unable to stop El Paso Rhinos from sending pucks towards the net, and El Paso Rhinos eventually piled up 56 shots on goal. El Paso Rhinos got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

El Paso Rhinos additionally got points from Jiri Pestuka, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and John Bowen, who also had one goal and one assist. El Paso Rhinos also had goals scored by Clinton Hildebrand, David Brancik, and Martin Hanl, who each put in one. More assists for El Paso Rhinos came via Angel Sanca, Jonah Pearson, and Jeremy Gillespie, who contributed one each and Sebastian Borg and Vojtech Zemlicka, who each chipped in two.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers' offense was handcuffed by El Paso Rhinos' defensive play, and Tulsa Jr. Oilers managed only 11 shots on goal during the game.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers was led by Ivan Bukshevannyy, who scored the team's only goal. Bukshevannyy scored 1:21 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa Jr. Oilers.

Ryan Buttazzoni made 10 saves for El Paso Rhinos on 11 shots. El Paso Rhinos totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Teke Murphy rejected 49 shots on goal for Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Tulsa Jr. Oilers ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major.
