Tomko nets hat trick, leads El Paso Rhinos to 7-1 win over Tulsa Jr. Oilers

Bryton Tomko netted a hat trick to lead El Paso Rhinos over Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 7-1.

Tomko notched his first tally 2:38 into the second period. He then added goals at 6:20 into the second and at 2:03 into the third.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers trailed by one after the first period, but El Paso Rhinos went into the second intermission with a 5-0 lead and never looked back.

El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tulsa Jr. Oilers power plays. El Paso Rhinos kept Tulsa Jr. Oilers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Teke Murphy made 46 saves on 53 shots.

El Paso Rhinos additionally got points from Sebastian Borg, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Jiri Pestuka, who also racked up two goals and one assist. El Paso Rhinos also got a goal from Jonah Pearson as well. Other players who recorded assists for El Paso Rhinos were Clinton Hildebrand and John Sanca, who contributed one each.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Ryan Buttazzoni rejected 15 shots on goal for El Paso Rhinos. El Paso Rhinos incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tulsa Jr. Oilers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
