Missoula Maulers downs Whitefish Wolverines, 3-0

Matt Chamberlain racked up one point to lead Missoula Maulers to a 3-0 victory over Whitefish Wolverines.

Missoula Maulers forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and two majors for 54 minutes in penalty time. Missoula Maulers had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game. Missoula Maulers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Missoula Maulers featured an improved defense during the game. Missoula Maulers averages 2.8 goals allowed per game. Missoula Maulers forced Whitefish Wolverines goalie Brendan Schultz to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Missoula Maulers additionally got points from Tanner Todd, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Damon Hanson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula Maulers were Tyler Zandhuisen, Alex Shalamov, Andrei Shebelbain, and Edward Pollon, who contributed one each.
