Michigan State University downs Grand Valley State University, 5-1

Lyndsay Oden racked up one point to lead the Michigan State University Spartans to a 5-1 victory over the Grand Valley State University Lakers.

Michigan State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Grand Valley State University to score on any of its three power plays.

Michigan State University additionally got points from Sydney Glanz, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Kara Scaturro, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Michigan State University included Natalie Prisciandaro and Kendall Clary, who each put in one. In addition, Michigan State University received assists from Shelby Myers, who had two and Andrea Stewart, Jennifer Polin, and Olivia Lord, who each chipped in one.
