The Grand Valley State University Lakers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Robert Morris University (IL) Eagles on the way to a 6-5 win.

A goal by Stacey Mathieu put Grand Valley State University up 6-4 in the third period, but Robert Morris University (IL) pulled to within one on Makaila Anderson's tally 19:42 into the third period.

Mathieu had two goals and one assist to lead the Lakers. Mathieu scored the first of his two goals at 5:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Grand Valley State University.
