Adams leads Davenport University over Robert Morris University (IL), 6-1

Darian Adams had one goal and four assists to lead the Davenport University Panthers to a 6-1 victory over the Robert Morris University (IL) Eagles.

Adams scored 6:37 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Davenport University. Adams dished an assist on Chantal Caraher's goal that made the score 1-0 Davenport University at 24 seconds into the first period. He then added assists on Catie OConnor's goal at 3:14 into the third, on Caraher's goal at 6:22 into the third, and on OConnor's goal at 8:29 into the third.

Robert Morris University (IL) was stymied by Davenport University's netminder Nina Van Orshaegen, who stopped 27 shots during the victory. Despite the solid performance, Van Orshaegen will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

The Panthers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Davenport University averages 3.3 goals per contest.

Davenport University also got points from OConnor, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Caraher, who also had three goals and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Davenport University were Samantha Rogers, who had one.
